Does the blood draw hurt?

In MIKROLAB laboratories blood collection is performed exclusively with the use of a butterfly by specialized and trained personnel in painless blood collection.

How often should we have blood tests (Check Up)?

The frequency of blood tests depends on age but certainly also on the presence of diseases.

Preventive laboratory testing starts from the first year of a child's age and should be repeated annually.From the age of 40 years, the hematological check up should be carried out every 6 months with the aim of early diagnosis and the immediate start of treatment.When we have the existence of a disease and its monitoring then the check up is more frequent and always according to the instructions of the attending physician.

What tests should a proper prenatal check-up include?

The tests that includes a check up are definitely the complete blood count , a basic biochemical test containing cholesterol , renal , liver markers , Tsh for thyroid check , CRP and TKE inflammation markers , urinalysis , ANA antinuclear antibodies etc.

Do I need any preparation for the exam? Do I have to fast?

For most tests you do not need to be fasting, but when we have triglycerides, cholesterol, sugar at our check up we need fasting from 10 to 12 hours.For the measurement of the other biochemical indicators it is enough to be 2 hours fasting.

For the measurement of some hormones such as cortisol the blood sample must be taken at a specific time in the morning hours 7.00 - 10.00, also for prolactin we must be awake for 2 hours, as the hormone is secreted during sleep.Contact us to have the full guidance of proper preparation before your tests.

How soon will I receive my test results?

Do I need to make an appointment for my tests?
